Fresh Updates

Hey there, since you visit the site, several hundred times on a daily-basis, you might have spotted a few changes and new features. What’s that? Every post related to games an anime are gone? There’s a blue bird button now? The upcoming videos have informational graphic bars? Did you guys won the lottery. I wish…

The point is we’ve removed some features that served no real purpose like posting news besides Aggressive Media stuff. All the other news didn’t have enough maintenance, it required a lot of work looking for interesting information and we didn’t have enough manpower to do that, so we cut that out. Instead, we created a Twitter account that will replace that sort of role, it doesn’t mean we will only post news about competitions/conventions, instead we will tweet relevant stuff about anime/games and videos in general. So be sure to follow us. Besides posting random stuff in Twitter, the news posted in the website will serve more like a blog, like checking what projects we are working on, mentioning interesting news and videos etc.

One other thing that we implemented was the ability to check the status of an ongoing project so that you can understand that we are not dead. You can see this in the upcoming videos section. Pretty graphical bars and numbers indicate how long till the completed project. We thought that having just an image indicating that someone is working on a video is just not enough information to tell if that video is half way done, almost completed or it hasn’t even started. This way, you can check the current status of the project and you can keep track of the ongoing work.

That’s it folks, we’ll try to keep the site as much active as we can and remember, we are still looking for more members to join. Do you have some aggressive editing skills? So be sure to check the recruit page for more info.

Until then, try to keep yourself alive.

New Member! Hurray!

After (4 or 5) millions and millions of people have tried to become the first newswritter of aM, one man finally made it. n3XXuS is now part of our family.

I will not say that's easy to become our newswritter you need to fight a countless number of bloody matches against "the others", but as you can see it is possible to beat all the obstacles in your way...

So if you are trying to become one don't give up! And we will be waiting for you...

Website 2.0

The final component from the Death Star just got installed and the new website is up and running at 120%. This time, we managed to integrate the two divisions, anime and games, into one single love nest. This joint base of operations provides better usability, accessibility, and interactivity since now you can actually comment on the videos and gives us direct feedback.

One of the features that have been added to the new layout is the streaming. Now you can watch any video directly from the page instead of having to download it or watch it somewhere else. With a bit of magic, the streaming quality is identical to the source file, which means you’ll be able to watch HD stuff right on the spot (because, nowadays, only HD stuff is the best. That’s what the cool kids say). You’ll also have the option to direct download the video in its description, but don’t worry if Justin Bibber pops up, It was the only way to not overload the server with videos and occupy any more HDD space.

Any news/announcements posted now have links to Facebook, Twitter and Digg.

Another feature that's added is the news writer department. That's right, from now on members can write the latest news about anime and vidya games. Since Aggressive Media has been expanding since its creation, now we decided to share the flow of information that travels through the annals of the Internet. If you’d like a position for a news writer, check out our recruitment page to see the requirements.

With all this written, all we can say is enjoy the new website, Merry X-Mas and a happy New Year.
